We Are So Thankful!
Message of Gratitude
As I awoke this morning, with tears in my eyes, my heart is filled with gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love and compassion shown to my family and me following the passing of my beloved son, Charles Neilson Phillip Taylor, who left us just a little over a week ago. Even now, it feels unreal that he is gone at such a young age.
Yet, in the midst of our sorrow, we lift our voices in thanksgiving to Yahweh, our Maker and King, for the precious gift of the 42 years we were blessed to share with Charles Phillip.
I wish to sincerely thank former President George Manneh Weah and officials of the CDC who came to visit me on Tuesday immediately upon hearing of Charles’ passing.
I also extend heartfelt appreciation to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Vice President Koung and his wife, former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the Honourable Speaker, the Pro Tempore, and members of all three branches of government who have continued to console my family and me during this most painful period.
Last, but certainly not least, I am deeply thankful for the visits and prayers from church leaders, musicians, classmates, organizations, and compassionate citizens from all walks of life who have come to express their sympathy and stand with us.
Your presence has brought us comfort during this time of deep grief.
Thank you all sincerely,
From the depths of our hearts
