We Are So Thankful!
Message of Gratitude
As we awoke this morning with tears in our eyes, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love, compassion, and support shown to our family following the passing of our beloved son, Charles Neilson Phillip Taylor, who left us just a little over a week ago. Even now, it feels unreal that he is gone at such a young age.
Yet, in the midst of our sorrow, we lift our voices in thanksgiving to Yahweh, our Maker and King, for the precious gift of the 42 years we were blessed to share with Charles. His life, though far too short, was a blessing we will forever cherish.
We wish to sincerely thank former President George Manneh Weah and officials of the CDC who came to visit on Tuesday, immediately upon hearing of Charles’ passing.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Vice President Koung and his wife, former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the Honorable Speaker, the Pro Tempore, and members of all three branches of government who have continued to console and stand with our family during this most painful period.
Last, but certainly not least, we are deeply grateful for the visits, prayers, and comforting words from church leaders, musicians, classmates, organizations, and compassionate citizens from all walks of life who have taken the time to express their sympathy. Your presence has brought us strength and comfort in this season of profound grief.
From the depths of our hearts, thank you.
